The coin hoard was undug at a depth of 30 cm. A total of 846 silver coins reached the Archaeological Department of the Mepimurje Museum; one does not know how many were dispersed. Various chapters deal with: the find conditions; the history of akovec, several documents from the 13th c. mentioning money; coin hoards and individual finds of Frisatic currency from the territory of the former Triune Kingdom of Croatia, Slavonia and Dalmatia, chiefly from the Zagreb Archaeological Museum Numismatic Collection. Further on, there is a chapter on the akovec hoard itself, with a contribution to the study of Frisatic half-pfennigs. In addition there is an up-to-date bibliography of numismatic articles dealing with Frisatic currency in this part of Europe (Austria, Croatia, Slovenia, Hungary), a list of abbreviations, abbreviations in the catalogue part. This book also contains two catalogues, that of the akovec hoard (817 specimens of pfennigs and half-pfennigs), and that of Frisatic money from the Triune Kingdom of Croatia, Slavonia and Dalmatia, from the Zagreb Archaeological Museum Numismatic Collection. This hoard contained silver coins dating from c. 1181 to c. 1212, Frisatic pfennigs and half-pfennigs, as well as their imitations (Beischläge), some of them very rare, and in unusual combinations of the obverse and reverse dies, struck by various ecclesiastical and secular lords of the 12th and 13th centuries, in various mints they owned in Styria, Carniola, Carinthia as well as Aquileia:
SECULAR LORDS: Styria - Berthold III. von Andechs-Meranien (1158-1188) (mint: Windischgraz/ Slovenjgradec); Berthold IV. von Andechs-Meranien (1188-1204) (mint: Windischgraz/ Slovenjgradec); Carniola (mints: Stein/ Kamnik, Heiligenkreuz?); Carinthia - Ulrich II. von Spanheim (1181-1202) (mint: St.Veit/ `t.
